m-tec-powder extends product range
Within the scope of an external growth project, m-tec powder GmbH has recently started offering cored wire injection machines of TRIMMASTER® type in addition to the already existing services and product portfolio. This business has been acquired from Odermath Stahlwerkstechnik GmbH and will now be successfully integrated into our existing product portfolio.

Dr. Sébastien Gérardin (46) new Senior Associate at m-tec wire GmbH in Töging am Inn as of September 1st, 2019. Mr. Gérardin will take this position next to the present Managing Directors - Mr. Gerhard Ertl & Mr. Carsten Schultz.
“With Mr. Gérardin, we have been able to win an expert in the field of secondary metallurgy and processes“, says Gerhard Ertl, Managing Director of m-tec powder GmbH and m-tec wire GmbH. With the hiring of Mr. Gérardin the m-tec group is significantly expanding the product and service range for the steel industry.
Dr. Sébastien Gérardin has profound knowledge in steel metallurgy and its process as well as cored wire industry (especially calcium treatment of liquid steel). He has a Ph.D. in the field of metal
solidification (continuous caster, ingot…). He started his career as a Metallurgist in the Research Centre of a French special steel producer and later, continued as Process Development Manager in a
melt shop.
For numerous years, Dr. Sébastien Gérardin has been Managing Director and Head of R&D, Innovation of one of the leading cored wire companies before taking on his new position at the top of m-tec
wire GmbH.

Successful trade fair participation – GIFA 2019 Düsseldorf
Products by m-tec powder and m-tec wire globally spark high interest.
Just like at last year`s „Aluminium International 2018“, m-tec powder GmbH presented itself with its sister companies m-tec wire GmbH and the South African Seratime (PTY) LTD at the GIFA in Düsseldorf.
„The 5 fair days enabled us to have various talks with international companies and representatives – often with very detailed requests and projects in the field of atomised Aluminum powders, Magnesium powders and cored wires for various applications. Besides our existing customers, we have been able to meet and establish a lot of new contacts and potential business partners“, says Mr. Schultz, managing director of the m-tec group and chairman of Seratime (PTY) LTD.
„The change of the fair and the whole business by digitisation and the further growing impact and demand of metal powders for applications like additive manufacturing, has been underlined again and shows that we are on the right way with our current and also planned investment in the production and refinement of Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy powders“, Mr. Schultz adds.
